The Hunger Games is a book about the future and what it could be like. In a terrifying future were a game takes place, but it’s not a normal game. If you win this game you will never starve again, and you will live in the richest of houses and have as much money as you need sound good? But if you lose you will face death. Katniss: Katniss is sixteen and volunteered to be part of the games, witch for her is not good. She has a 1 in a 23 chance of winning the games. She sees it as a death sentence but thinks she can bet the odds. One of her hobbies is just surviving, by providing food for her and her family. Peter: A boy and a girl from each of the twelve districts are picked out of a box. Katniss and Peter were chosen to be part of the games. Peter works with his father at a bread shop putting frosting on cakes. He helped Katniss when she was just little by providing her and her family food when they not eaten for weeks. Haymitch:Haymitch is the coach for district twelve and was the only man in 74 years from district twelve that won the games. He helped Katniss and Peter during the games and gave them sponsors to give food when desperately needed it.
Every year there is the hunger games, 24 people are in place that suits their skills, the main part of the game is to win and put on a good show for the capital. In this game there is only one rule: kill or be killed. The last one standing wins.

This book is the best one I’ve read so far and I personally think it’s really good. I couldn’t stop reading this book it was just constant suspense I think it’s just amazing. I love how all the details and how all the pieces fit together. After every page you just can’t put it down its really good. I would recommend it to people 11-17 people older can read it but I think it’s a bit violent for people under 11.
